Hide Stretch Marks
Should you hide stretch marks or not hide them? This question takes almost Shakespearean proportions and you can even wax romantic or lunatic about it! Either way, you will be right because stretch marks can be hidden by, covered up, buried in bottles of sunless tanning creams, body makeup, and anti-stretch marks formulations but it is also not necessary to do so since these will not pose health risks for you.
Still, for purposes of discussion, let’s look at both scenarios.
Discover a proven system for difficult scar and stretch marks removal
Hide ‘Em Stretch Marks
Admittedly, we live in a world where physical beauty, especially youthful beauty, is a prized possession and a commercialized commodity. In most Western and Westernized countries, flawless skin is a constant factor in the beauty equation, with facial features and body proportions differing from one country to the next.
With that being said, it is no wonder then that men and women of all ages will want to hide stretch marks from the scrutiny and scorn of the general public. This is especially true of stretch marks that are widely-spaced, angry-looking reddish and purplish lines, and all-too-visible in a swimsuit and sleeveless clothes.
Well, you cannot blame people who hide their stretch marks for aesthetic purposes. After all, in this day and age, one cannot be faulted for always looking your best especially when self-image, self-respect and self-confidence are concerned. And no, this is not being selfish; this is simply taking good care of yourself because no one else will take care of you like you do yourself.
Fortunately, there are many ways to hide your stretch marks. You can either cover them with sunless tanning creams, waterproof body makeup like foundation and concealer, and light tans at the spraying booth.
Of course, you can always go the route of covering up your skin flaws with the right clothes. Often, it’s just a matter of adapting your fashion sense to the clothes that will cover the stretch marks. Stretch marks on hips and buttocks? Boy-leg shorts will help you out.
Let Them Be Stretch Marks
On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are individuals who would rather let the stretch marks be. After all, no health hazards come from possessing a few of these wavy, white lines on your body.
In fact, some pregnant women will wear it as a badge of merit, a reminder of the time when their wee ones were one with their bodies. Besides, they expect their husbands to love them the way their bodies are. And it does not hurt their cause either to know that their husbands have stretch marks, too.
For teenagers, stretch marks are simply their “growth rings” that will fade in time, with or without the help of cosmetics and lasers and microdermabrasions. Boys will barely notice them, let alone know what they are. Girls will be too worried about their own growing up problems to pay excessive mind to your stretch marks. You can adopt this attitude, too, because then you will be keeping every squiggly line in perspective.
In the end, the decision to hide stretch marks (or not) depends on your personal choice. Just make sure that you can live with that choice!
